JNS Power and Control Systems has been granted another contract to install 50 KW wind turbine at the Governor’s State University. This was announced by Ulysses Diversified Holdings. The wind turbine will be assembled and installed at the site and will be connected to the Family Development Centre building.
JNS Power and Control Systems will provide feeder cables to the base of the wind turbine from the main disconnect switch and will also provide the H frame. It will also be responsible for the installation of the control cabinet, capacitor, step-down control transformer and the power distribution panel.
The wind turbine will have an annual capacity of 141,650 KW-hours of electricity and will meet 36% of the energy requirements of the Governor State University’s Family Development Centre. According to the President and CEO, Jean Howe, this is the second wind turbine project, which the company has created along with Midwest Underground Technologies in the area of Champaign, Illinois. Many schools have expressed their interest in having wind turbines in their premises, which are installed by a partnership of both companies. The company has also forayed into the healthcare sector through a contract from a hospital recently. Governor State University is putting in continued efforts to reduce carbon emissions in order to become the greenest university in Illinois.
