Phoenix Solar has formed a strategic alliance with Silicon Ranch to finance, develop and build solar photovoltaic power plants in the Southeast and Tennessee.
Phoenix Solar and Silicon Ranch said that their first 1.4MW project, planned in the city of Pulaski in Tennessee, will be the state’s biggest privately-owned solar plant. With the support of Chapel Electric, Phoenix Solar has started building the Pulaski solar plant. The company will also provide lasting maintenance and operation support to control and maximize the efficiency of the ongoing energy production of the plant.
The ground-mounted solar power project is the focal point of Silicon Ranch’s plan to build the Pulaski Energy Park, which will also have a solar training campus containing classroom, service and administrative buildings besides the operating power plant. Silicon Ranch has purchased a 25 A land at the Pulaski Industrial Park situated on Elkton Highway near the city to develop the Pulaski Energy Park.
Matthew Kisber, President and CEO of Silicon Ranch, said that building a solar power plant in Pulaski will bring social, environmental and economic advantages to the territory. He also said that the company is planning to supply economical solar energy by focusing on increasing capital investments and creating green jobs in clean energy in the state.
Reagan Farr, Vice Chairman and COO of Silicon Ranch, said that the company has chosen Phoenix Solar as a partner in the development because of its design, engineering and management of solar plants around the world. He also added that the company has already benefited from Phoenix Solar's design, engineering and construction strategy on the Pulaski plant.
