Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) presents a 26th international electric vehicle (EV) symposium from May 6 to 9, 2012 in Los Angeles. The association conducts the symposium with a sponsorship from the world electric vehicle association jointly with the Electric Vehicle Association of Asia Pacific (EVAAP) and European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (AVERE).
Latest advancements in the automotive sector including trucks, motorbikes, vans and electric cars including the batteries and chargers available globally will be exhibited at this symposium. The international EV symposium will conduct a consumer education day on 6 May, Sunday, for educating the consumers about the vehicles and making them to take part in vehicle charging and driving activities.
Brian Wynne, Electric Drive Transportation Association’s (EDTA) President stated that the association is looking forward for the participation of about 3,000 market experts, media and policymakers in this symposium in Los Angeles. Wynne added that this international symposium is the most important conference across the world, on electric vehicles and aiding solutions including chargers, batteries and fuel cells. Wynne went on to say that over 200 education sessions and 280 posters are exhibited by 500 companies including charging industries, battery producers, and other utilities in electric vehicles for displaying its related technologies.
Since the previous decade, the growth of the EV industry is accelerated through its presence at the EV symposiums hosted by the US association. The first EV symposium was presented in phoenix during 1969 and in different countries such as Europe, North America and Asia.
