Gehrlicher Solar has successfully forayed into the U.S.-market. Gehrlicher Solar America (GSAC), a subsidiary of Gehrlicher Solar AG, announced that the company has completed two systems and is in the process of constructing six more systems.
Gehrlicher Solar America, a leader in commercial solar photovoltaic power systems commenced its operations in 2010. It has its headquarters in Springfield, New Jersey. It is a subsidiary of the German-based global photovoltaic company, Gehrlicher Solar.
The company has collaborated with NJR Clean Energy Ventures (NJRCEV) to complete two rooftop systems. NJRCEV has developed over 30 MW of solar projects in New Jersey. It provides clean, low carbon energy solutions for residential and commercial purposes.
The two solar systems, which were installed in Edison, New Jersey, by Gehrlicher Solar, provide a peak performance of 1.35 MW. They are expected to produce 1,543,450 kWh annually. The systems spanned an area of 205,000 sq.ft. Seven inverters manufactured by PV Powered and 5,520 solar modules from Yingli were used for the systems.
The global furniture retail chain, IKEA, had announced that it had selected Gehrlicher Solar America as EPC for the installation of solar systems across its stores in the USA.
The President of NJR Clean Energy Ventures, Stan Kosierowski, stated that the efficiency and quality of Gehrlicher Solar signified their value. NJRCEV looked forward to developing more projects with Gehrlicher, he added.
