Xunlight has sold solar panels, whose capacity is 208 KW, for two European rooftop installations.
The company will install the solar modules on the facilities’ rooftops situated in Slovakia, Spilimbergo and Pezinok in Italy. It has delivered 360 lightweight photovoltaic modules, which is flexible XR36 291W panels, for every 104 KW installations. Xunlight assembled these modules in its Kunshan, China facility by means of triple-junction thin-film solar cells, produced in the United States in the line of 25 MW roll-to-roll solar cell manufacturing situated in Ohio.
Xunlight’s CEO and President, Dr. Xunming Deng, stated that the company is excited that its solar modules have been chosen for the projects and is seeing a growing requirement for the products. These solar modules can be incorporated into the roofing systems easily. Projects using Xunlight solar modules will be qualified for the highest subsidies planned to incentivize photovoltaics, which is building-integrated, in several markets.
The lightweight photovoltaic modules from Xunlight are suitable for installing on the industrial and commercial rooftops. These modules can be directly adhered to the roofing membranes without penetration. No mounting frames are needed for these solar modules, which have not virtually produced further wind loads.
Recently, the company finished a 220 KW demonstration project that has used the flexible solar panels partnering with Trina Solar.
