Solar Nation Commissions Solar Electric System at Harris Thermal Transfer Products

Solar Nation has installed a solar electric system at Harris Thermal Transfer Products, based at Oregon. The solar electric system has a capacity of 81 kW and aims at stabilising and reducing the energy costs at Harris.

Solar-Electric project

The project will also contribute to environmental sustainability by generating green power.

The solar electric system spans 6,000 sq.ft in area and was completely engineered at Solar Nation. The system is to be installed on roof-tops and consists of 336 EcoDuo solar panel arrays. Apart from the solar panels, the solar-electric unit consists of an advanced energy inverter and a monitoring system that can be mounted on the deck. The green energy that the system will generate is sufficient to provide electric supply for around 83 homes, which equals 8% of the electricity needs at Harris. The system provides immediately realisable cost savings through renewable, clean power. Harris Thermal is committed towards reducing the environmental impact and puts this commitment to action through the installation of the solar electric project. The greenhouse gas emission is reduced by 60.4 t every year through the solar electric system. The controller at Harris was confident about the inspiration this installation will be to other companies taking to renewable power generation as well.
