Tsing Capital and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu have bestowed Daqo New Energy, a China-based polysilicon manufacturer, with the 2011 China Cleantech Top 20 award. To support the growth of China’s cleantech sector, the China CleantechTop 20 program was initiated by Deloitte in collaboration with Tsing Capital, a China-based venture capital management firm.
The program recognizes outstanding cleantech industrialists and organizations located in China. Daqo New Energy was recognized as one of the top 20 winners after a three month-long accreditation process from hundreds of applicants. The company was awarded for its contribution towards environmental efficiency and its revenue growth from 2008-2010.
Daqo New Energy is a polysilicon manufacturer and they sell polysilicon of high quality to manufacturers of photovoltaic products. The photovoltaic modules manufactured and sold by Daqo are IEC 61730- and IEC 61216-complaint and ISO 9001, China Golden Sun, Australia CEC, CEC California Listing, UL/CUL as well as TUV certified for product quality and performance. Daqo manufactures polycrystalline and monocrystalline PV modules at its Nanjing manufacturing facility.
The Chief Technology Executive of Daqo, Tracy Zhou expressed delight at the appreciation of Daqo’s achievement by stating that cleantech has an important role in ensuring sustainable development and in addressing critical environmental issues and added that the company will continue developing innovative technology for further development of the cleantech industry in China.
