Industrial Accessories Company (IAC), along with its fully-owned construction subsidiary, Adelphi Construction, has completed a design-build project for a $6.6M 100,000 ton-per-year biomass pellet plant of Midwest Farmer’s Co-operative.
Several wood and agricultural waste by-products are processed into alternative fuel pellets, packed in bags weighing 40 lbs for the pellet stove market or transferred in bulk to a utility close by in order to co-fire with coal. Carbon credits will be received by the utility company to enable the usage of the biomass fuel pellets.
IAC was the EPC contractor and the fast-track project was done using its in-house design, procurement and engineering and project management teams. Adelphi Construction performed the building works and supplied the labor force.
Along with air pollution equipment, IAC designed and fabricated all the galvanized steel, structural steel access parts, spouting and mating transactions from IAC’s MO fabrication plant at Kansas City. Since IAC is a pre-engineered metal storage and building silo dealer, it offered a competitive and whole package to the client.
