Urban Green Energy (UGE), a producer of hybrid renewable energy solutions and distributed wind turbines, has launched a new web-based renewable energy monitoring system at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show. The ViewUGE solution allows online monitoring of renewable energy produced by small wind turbines.
The real time solution facilitates owners to remotely monitor the energy produced by their turbines. The solution has a personalized and clean interface, which is a unique distinguishing feature. The ViewUGE solution is similar to other solutions produced by the company in terms of user-friendliness.
Nick Blitterswyk, the CEO of UGE, stated that the goal of the company was to enable companies as well as people to select their source of electricity. As renewable energy varies, monitoring of the energy produced is an important factor for wider usage. The ViewUGE system provides more control to the user in these terms, and allows more integration, he said.
UGE’s VP of Engineering, Scott Van Pelt said that the ViewUGE system utilized multiple technologies for making the best use of renewable energy. It will allow users to track a range of factors, including energy usage, renewable energy inputs and data about the weather from UGE’s 1st Step Weather Station.
UGE partnered with the machine to machine communications company, Mesh Systems, for designing the ViewUGE system. The system will be demonstrated at the UGE booth in the CES 2012 Consumer Electronics Show.
