Based at Bedminster, New Jersey, KDC Solar has initiated the commercial operation for the second largest PV roof-mounted solar system in New Jersey at the Carteret’s White Rose warehouse.
This initiation was facilitated by a joint venture with Nugen Capital Management and its wholly owned subsidiary, KDC Solar Nugen WR. The new system will therefore minimize the carbon footprint for White Rose by generating clean electricity.
An inaugural event was held on January 25 at the site to mark the occasion. The chief guests invited at the event included Middlesex County Freeholder Ron Rios, Sarah Gentile from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the 17th Assembly District and Member of Telecommunications and Utility Committee, Assemblyman Joseph D. Eagan, a representative from Assemblyman John Wisnewski's office and David Reiman, the Carteret Mayor.
The 4.88 MW solar system has been designed to supply over 60% of the electric power requirements for the White Rose grocery warehouse site, will deliver 6.2 million hours of solar electricity per year. KTR Capital Partners are the proprietors of this system. Solar Power, a world-wide pioneer in producing outstanding solar energy facilities performed this innovative installation. SPI purchased over 22,000 high quality panels produced by LDK Solar.
According to a partner at KTR Capital Partners, Stephen J. Butte, the building facility serves to be eco-friendly in terms of electrical utilization. The firm’s expertise and quality was manifested through this project, thereby accentuating a cleaner environment and offering decreased utility costs for the residents. The success of this solar project owes to the firm’s combined operation with White Rose and KDC Solar Nugen WR .
