Matinee Energy, a developer of solar energy projects and businesses, celebrated a ground breaking ceremony for a solar energy project, Matinee Energy Campus, in Benson, Arizona.
The project is a direct response to the “In Sourcing Initiative” launched by the US President. Matinee Energy Campus will include capabilities for solar research, development, production and associated job guidance.
The project will focus on minimizing the engineering and production costs as well as increasing the performance of solar mounting solutions. This will encourage a switchover to high-quality solar mounting systems that assure cost reduction of the whole module and enhance profitability. Major market factors that affect the survivability of the industry competitors have changed beyond lower solar cell costs and greater sustainability. The reason to this change is the response to extend and maintain life expectancy and average efficiency of solar modules for over 30 years.
Matinee Energy Campus has planned to first produce higher precision solar mounting systems through its technology and manufacturing expertise. It will also work to achieve cost reduction that is adequate to influence a shift in the local market as well as in the construction cost structure of renovating solar energy facilities.
S. Chin Kim, CEO of Matinee Energy, stated that in the future, the campus will serve as a model for various other local and worldwide projects on a larger scale. Matinee Energy Campus and GreenStone System, a consultancy firm specializing in investment consultancy and program management with the focus on the US Solar Industry, have collaborated to leverage their capabilities.
