Juhl Renewable Energy Systems (JRES) is a new subsidiary that has been established by Juhl Wind, a wind power development and management company, to meet the growing demand for smaller-scale on-site solar and wind systems in the small or medium business market.
The newly formed entity will focus on the installation and marketing of Juhl Wind’s renewable energy solutions, including Juhl Windharvester, Powerbank and Solarbank. JRES will be managing the projects right from the beginning to the end, which includes project design, financing, sales and service.
Solarbank is one of the advanced on-site solar systems available in the market. It delivers solar power to customers whenever there is a requirement. In addition, the system is easy to install, operate and maintain. Juhl's Powerbank is a simple backup power system, which provides energy assurance and confidence to users. It assures that the electricity will be available when grid power is offered at higher rates or unavailable. Juhl Windharvester is an advanced medium-scale wind turbine having a capacity of about 35 kW.
Dan Juhl, Juhl Wind’s Chairman and CEO, stated that it is the right time to expand into the medium or small business market with a record of success in developing larger wind farms in the past two years. The company is confident that the demand for renewable energy products is present in this market based on the increased interest from Juhl Wind’s potential customers and a continuous flow of rebate and incentive programs. The company has been successful in delivering renewable energy solutions to government and its utility regulators.
