A global building-integrated and rooftop photovoltaics company, United Solar has signed a solar laminate integration agreement with Baraclit, an Italian manufacturer of concrete prefabricated buildings.
Based on the agreement, b.Power division of Baraclit will integrate UNI-SOLAR line of solar photovoltaic (PV) laminates into its rooftop system. b.POWER has installed a total of 15 MW of PV products in Italy and serves as a solar power research and development center.
The integration is projected to be 10 million square meters of the Italian company’s industrial rooftop range. Nicola Del Duca, United Solar’s Sales Director – Southern Europe, noted that the deployment of UNI-SOLAR PV laminates in Baraclit’s 'flat roof' system reveals the considerable advantage offered by their products to global roofing companies. In addition, the partnership with Baraclit demonstrates that the UNI-SOLAR product is a reliable and economical solution for building integrated PV rooftops, added Nicola Del Duca.
UNI-SOLAR products are flexible and lightweight PV laminates, which offer higher energy generation, durability and easy installation without altering the functionality and aesthetics of the buildings’ rooftop.
Luca Bernardini, Division Director at b.Power, remarked that United Solar’s laminates address the requirements of Baraclit’s oldest prefabricated rooftops.
United Solar has over 25 years of experience in the solar field and has secured about 70 US patents for several technological advancements.
