CODA Automotive, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of all-electric vehicles, has celebrated the first sales of 2012 CODA five passenger all-electric vehicles in Los Angeles, California. The vehicles have been sold to three customers by CODA Automotive dealers. Randy from Redwood City is the first owner of the 2012 CODA sedan in Northern California.
Dana Martin, owner of the CODA’s dealership in Los Angeles, stated that the company is happy to deliver the all-electric vehicles to committed drivers, who require a vehicle that has comfortable configuration, reliable range, access to the high-occupancy vehicle lane and easy recharging options.
Shaun Del Grande, President of Del Grande Dealer Group, also remarked that they are delighted to meet the requirements of Northern California drivers, including a zero emission sedan and an alternative to prevent dependency on fossil fuels.
The 31 kWh CODA all-electric vehicle has an EPA-rated range of 88 miles per charge. The vehicle can be run about 125 miles on a single charge, which is approximately four times the average daily driving capacity of 29 miles. Recharging the vehicle is faster and easier. A unique 6.6 kW onboard charging capacity helps to complete the entire charging in approximately six hours on 240 V.
The CODA sedan features a Lithium-iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery pack and an active thermal management system. The system helps to secure the battery pack by maintaining its optimum temperature in both cold and hot climates. The 2012 CODA mid-size sedan meets the daily transportation needs of American drivers without using an ounce of gasoline or fossil fuel.
