One Stop Green, which installs solar systems for commercial and residential purposes, has installed a 3.86 kW solar system at Piney Point in Texas.
In November last year, a customer from Piney Point called the company to install a solar system for his new home, which was at the initial stage of construction. The customer wanted to make his home energy efficient and green. A sales associate of the company went to the construction site and took necessary steps to install the solar system that includes initial site survey, determination of budget, identification of a perfect place for the solar panels and others.
The home was planned to cover more than 14000 sq.ft area and the monthly electricity bill will shoot up eventually. Hence, to reduce the electricity bill, the customer wanted to install solar system. Since, the home was the first of its kind to have solar system at Pine Ville, the energy consumption rates were unclear. Thus, the company decided to start at a small-scale initially and then expand it later according to the energy requirement of the new home.
Finally, after considering the customer’s requirements, the company decided to install the 3.86 kW solar system, which will generate approximately 20% of power used for the home. In addition, it was difficult to calculate how much energy can be compensated using the solar system due to the unavailability of previous compensations. However, with reduction of the solar panel cost and incentives provided for solar energy, the customer wanted to extend his solar system. Hence, the company added flash mounts to avoid unnecessary work related to solar module installations.
The company will also offer rain water harvesting systems, LED light bulbs, water saving toilets and faucets.
