Club Assist has announced that a WORLD FIRST lithium mobile electric vehicle (EV) charger has been launched. This new charger is the first green, clean and Level 2 EV charging solution for assisting in emergency roadside charging.
This eco-friendly EV charging solution provides quieter, smoother and faster roadside battery charging solution. Club Assist has introduced this new unit at the LEV and EV Forum & Drive Day in Melbourne on May 21, 2012.
The new solution is very compact and completely green, and can offer a standard electric power car, which requires 10 minutes of charging to travel a driving distance of 5 to 6 km. This new car is specifically designed to travel the adjacent located permanent charging point for a complete charge. The technology is readily available for commercialization.
According to Bob Gell, Club Assist's designer of the unit, a lithium mobile EV charger is developed naturally based on the previous technology and can be used in electric vehicles.
Bob Gell stated that the lithium mobile EV charger development was another instance of the determination of the company in offering the motoring club partners with advanced solutions in a continuously changing transport landscape.
