Green Deal program has decided to increase energy efficiency in households all over the UK through a program initiating homeowners to utilize energy saving measures that will provide sufficient warmth to the their homes and also reduce the energy bills during continuous increase in electricity and gas prices.
There are homes without sufficient insulation in their lofts and wall cavities and without full double glazing. It has been estimated that 43% of greenhouse gas emissions in the UK is because of the loss of electricity and gas incurred by many homes. Double Glazing Prices stated that an increased amount of electricity and gas is used by those homes that are still energy efficient.
The team at Double Glazing Prices in charge of the Green Deal program stated that the Green Deal program will enable people to save money from their energy bills so that they can use their savings to pay for improvements in their homes. ECO, a subsidy, will cover the expenses of those individuals needing extra money to pay for the improvement work in their homes.
Complete details about the Green Deal program will be provided to experts in the industry and homeowners by October. An average of £1.3 billion will be allocated for the Green Deal program. The Department of Energy and Climate Change stated that this program will benefit a great number of households that fall under the low income category.
