Engineered Conductive Materials (ECM), a provider of conductive interconnect materials for use in photovoltaic applications, has launched the new 530-121 conductive adhesive specifically developed for ribbon stringing in solar modules.
ECM Ribbon Stringer Attach
This material formulation costs only 60% of the price of a pure silver-filled material. It has been optimized to deliver exceptional stability and conductivity on a range of substrates, when cured at 150°.
The dispensing work life of this new adhesive is more than 48 h and the material maintains optimized rheology for exceptional damp heat resistance and dispensing. The low-cost adhesive has conductivity stability on tin-silver, molybdenum-tin, and silver-plated ribbons. The material’s flexibility is similar like rubber and is perfect for use in flexible photovoltaic applications. It has high peel strength and is resistant to stresses caused in reel-to-reel production methods. In addition, it can be cured quickly at high temperatures.
The company has added this new 530-121adhesive to its complete line of conductive adhesives, which include conductive stringer attach adhesives for use in back contact crystalline silicon, via fill and thin-film applications, and conductive grid inks for use in photovoltaics.
The ECM’s technology concentrates on the fabrication of electronic circuits that compliment the circuit product assembly line of Engineered Materials Systems (EMS).
