Rock the Green Educates Attendees to Live More Sustainably

Rock the Green, a near-zero waste outdoor music festival sponsored by Veolia Environmental Services, has reported that Third Eye Blind will headline the festival. Atlas Genius, Morning Parade, Imagine Dragons, Switchfoot and Metric will also support the event.

Rock the Green uses a music-driven platform to educate attendees on ways to live more sustainably.

Local Milwaukee bands, which include Ikarus Down, I'm Not a Pilot, and Evan Christian, will be featured on a completely clean energy-powered side stage. The second annual Rock the Green will be held on September 15, 2012 at Veterans Park. Tickets will be available from July 12, 2012.

Rock the Green’s Founder and Executive Director, Lindsay Stevens Gardner stated that the music-driven platform helps participants to know about the ways of reducing overall environmental impact. This diverse lineup comprises bands from across the globe and emphasizes Rock the Green's objective to link concert-goers via a sustainability experience and shared music.

Third Eye Blind is a band based in San Francisco and is in the preparation of launching its latest album. According to Third Eye Blind’s lead vocalist, Stephan Jenkins, it is important that everybody learns about sustainable ways of living. Rock the Green offers a platform to highlight this cause, so that everybody can make the required changes as a group.

Switchfoot’s Switchfoot, Jon Foreman informed that environmental sustainability is gaining attention as a major topic. The band is happy to be a part of that message during the Rock the Green event.
