MEED will be hosting its inaugural Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Renewable Energy Conference from 18 to 19 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Dubai. The conference will focus on factors such as innovation and technologies and government strategies that drive the growth of the MENA renewable energy market.
The event is supported by Emirates Solar Industry Association (ESIA), Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) and Saudi Arabia Solar Industry Association (SASIA). The conference is the ideal forum to bring all stakeholders together in order to gauge the unexplored potential of renewable energy projects in the MENA region. MEED statistics show that the value of renewable energy projects currently in various stages of planning, execution and development in the region is over US $20 billion.
The conference will offer recent research project data analytics and will discuss the future direction of the global energy market. Also in focus will be the MENA region’s role in the global market. The plans for Dubai’s first large scale solar power project, the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park valued at US $3 billion, will be discussed.
An analysis of investment opportunities in the industry and the challenges posed in fulfilling future power requirements across the MENA region will be made.
