Pythagoras Solar, a provider of integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products with operational foot prints in United States, China and Israel, has appointed Scott Hoover as Director of Sales for North America amidst increasing demand for its high power density and energy-efficient solar windows.
Mr. Hoover will lead the company’s initiatives to enhance the sales pipeline and expand the market for its solar windows. His work experience spans 24 years in the window and commercial glass industry.
The architecture community recognizes Mr. Hoover as an expert and the green-building industry holds him in deference. The U.S. Glass Magazine named Mr. Hoover as one of the most influential people in the metal and glass industry in 2004. In the past, Mr. Hoover has been the frontrunner for marketing and sales endeavors of two major manufacturers of glass, namely, AGC Glass (Asahi) and Pilkington/NSG. He has also been associated with new companies engaging in green-building ventures in advisory, executive and consulting roles.
Mr. Hoover was all praise for the energy-efficient windows from Pythagoras and expressed happiness at his appointment and in being part of delivering Pythagoras’ revolutionary products to the market and realizing the concept of net zero energy buildings.
Pythagoras Solar, established in 2007, was chosen as a winner of the 2011 GE Ecomagination Challenge.
