Danny Kennedy Releases Book on Solar Powe

Award-winning clean-tech entrepreneur Danny Kennedy has released his book titled "Rooftop Revolution: How Solar Power Can Save Our Economy – and Our Planet – from Dirty Energy" to expose the myths related to the solar industry and provide simple ways to co-operatively promote a radical change.

The book begins with a foreword written by General Wesley Clark, the former U.S. presidential candidate and former supreme commander of NATO. Available through Kindle in electronic as well as in print versions, the book provides insights into solar energy, thereby greatly benefiting the American economy.

Over the 1st anniversary of the Solyndra bankruptcy and threatening blackouts within America and political energy policy debate, Kennedy, who was basically an activist, turned out to be a leading clean tech business entrepreneur and has been profiled in The New York Times Magazine. He promotes solar-based clean energy revolution amidst criticisms.

"Rooftop Revolution" highlights that the environmental, economic, and security imperatives for solar power is potent and offer a favorable platform for proprietors, businesspeople, and policymakers to jointly fight against "King CONG" – the monolithic dirty energy accrual of "Coal, Oil, Nuclear and Gas". Kennedy concludes with a practical guide to establish "Rooftop Revolutionaries" in 21st century economy.

"Rooftop Revolution" includes key statistics such as smart money continues to flow in to the solar industry; worldwide investment in renewable energy was $260 B in 2011 increasing from $243 in 2010, where solar cover half of it; The solar industry makes jobs, where domestic jobs is 10x faster when compared to all other economy as stated in 2011 National Solar Census; solar panel prices have reduced 50% since 2010, thereby benefiting homeowners in the US. Solar energy is cost-efficient; the Department of Energy forecasts that two-thirds of U.S. homes will conserve money using solar by 2015.
