Verengo Solar, a residential solar installer, will host a job fair on October 6, Saturday, at its newly opened office in Concord, California.
The new office, which is the regional headquarters of Northern California, is situated at 1920 Mark Ct., in Concord. The job fair will be conducted between 10 am and 2 pm on Saturday. Through this job fair, the company plans to recruit solar sales consultants and local candidates for its neighborhood canvass program.
The Vice President of Operations at Verengo, Akiko Koh, said that the company was expanding its presence to enable the homeowners of Northern California to get cleaner and better energy at low cost. He added that though incentives provided by the state of California for solar has decreased, the sales of Verengo has doubled due to their zero-down program which offers finances at affordable rates. Koh also said that in spite of hiring around 400 employees in the past year, the company is on the lookout for many more such high-potential employees to continue its success growth. He felt that people of California have now realized that home solar option is a smart way to save money, and is no more restricted to the elite and wealthy people.
Tom Sweeney, Northern California General Manager with Verengo Solar, said that this was the first job fair to be conducted in the Bay Area. He also said that his company was extremely proud and excited to be able to offer job opportunities to the people in and around Bay Area.
