NDR Energy has created a record in sales of natural gas for the month of August, 2012. The company is a subsidiary of Universal Bioenergy, an energy company that distributes and markets natural gas.
NDR Energy’s sale of natural gas has exceeded 2.07 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the month of August, which is expected to generate a large amount as additional revenue for the company.
NDR Energy Group supplies natural gas to local gas distribution companies, electric power producers and public utilities that cater to residential, industrial and commercial customers. The company’s previous record sale of natural gas was 1.16 Bcf in the month of August, 2011. This record volume has been beaten in August, 2012 by showing an increase of 78.45% in the sale of natural gas, which is equivalent to a volume of 1 Bcf higher than that sold in August, 2011.
The President and CEO of NDR Energy Group, Ken Harris, said that in a scenario where the natural gas marketplace was facing strong headwinds, they had planned to implement a strategy. The strategy was to lay emphasis on combining power generation related, term and monthly gas sales. He also said that though the underground storage level of natural gas was low last week, the present level was 3.4 trillion cubic feet (Tcf), which has also been reported in the Short-Term Energy Outlook by the EIA. He added that they were facing a potential hazard of a dip in sales due to the overall increase in domestic storage which in turn contributed to increase in storage of their utility customers. However, he was happy that NDR Energy has been able to survive the crisis and create a benchmark in the sales of natural gas.
