Sunpreme Completes Large Rooftop Solar Panel Installations on East Bay Dental Clinic

Sunpreme, a global SmartSilicon crystalline solar power product manufacturer headquartered in Silicon Valley, today announced the completion of two of the largest rooftop installations on a dental clinic in the east bay.

Both systems will generate enough electricity to offset approximately 90 percent of the clinics' annual power needs and provide a centerpiece to the clinic's holistic approach to environmental stewardship.

The systems feature 47 kW of Sunpreme solar panels mounted on the dental clinics' roof to maximize energy production. The arrays are designed to produce approximately 65,209 kilowatt hours of solar electricity each year, enough to offset 99,010 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions annually, the equivalent of planting 16.5 acres of trees.

"We applaud Shoker Dental Clinic for their vision to having clean, renewable energy generated for medical facilities. Medical facilities depend on reliable energy source for its patient care, and Shoker Clinic can rely on premium quality Sunpreme solar systems to deliver guaranteed performance for the next 25 years or more," said Surinder S. Bedi, Executive Vice President of Sunpreme.

"Shoker Clinic opted for a life-cycle approach in selecting high quality Sunpreme modules for their solar projects and net present value analysis in making its financial decisions. This highly replicable approach is expected to result in superior returns on investment," said Dr. Ashok Sinha, Chief Executive Officer of Sunpreme. "Moreover, the double glass construction of our SmartSilicon panels ensures a higher reliability and performance in combination with superior aesthetics due to its thin, frameless profile."

"We selected Sunpreme modules because of its disruptive technology, superb quality and excellent value. The employees at Sunpreme are knowledgeable, helpful and they take pride in delivering the best product and service," commented Dr. Devinder Shoker.

"We are pleased that Sunpreme selected SMA's Sunny Boy inverters for this project, especially because Sunpreme's high quality modules work well with SMA's reliable technology," said Rob Schwarzinger, director of sales for Medium Power Solutions for SMA America. "With the new PV system providing the majority of Shoker Dental's power supply, SMA's market leading technology will provide the reliability that the installation needs."
