Cleantech Fellows Institute Changes Name to Energy Fellows Institute

The Cleantech Fellows Institute today announced that it has changed its name to the Energy Fellows Institute. The Energy Fellows Institute is the nation’s first targeted program to educate experienced entrepreneurs and executives in technology sectors of the advanced energy industry.

The program promotes the intersection of experienced executives and serial entrepreneurs with new ventures and technologies that ultimately create jobs and grow the advanced energy sector.

“This is an exciting change for us,” said Steven Berens, executive director of the Energy Fellows Institute. “In working through our curriculum and with insight from our partners and sponsors, we realized that the program entails much more than just cleantech, it is a study of the entire advanced energy ecosystem. By redefining ourselves under a broader energy umbrella, we have the opportunity to focus on all aspects of advanced energy while maintaining our concentration on the cleantech industry.”

Advanced energy encompasses a broad range of products and services that constitute the best available technologies for meeting energy needs today and tomorrow. Advanced energy technologies bridge the gap between currently available energy technologies and those in development that will move the global energy economy towards clean, sustainable energy. The Energy Fellows Institute will focus on these transformative and innovative advanced energy technologies throughout the 2013 curriculum.

The Energy Fellows Institute is now accepting applications for their flagship 17-week program at http://www.energyfellows.com/apply. More information about the Energy Fellows Institute is available at www.energyfellows.com.
