Dow Corning, a global leader in silicones, silicon-based technology and innovation, announced today that Eric Vanlathem, a senior application engineer for Advanced Assembly, will give a presentation on silicone solutions for thermal management at The Battery Show Europe 2017 in Sindelfingen, Germany. The Dow Corning team will also be on hand at Stand B124 during the show to showcase its broad portfolio of cutting-edge silicone solutions for battery and other power applications in today’s electric and hybrid electric vehicles.
Vanlathem’s presentation, titled "Applying Advanced Thermal Management Solutions to Electric Vehicle Electronics and Battery Packs," is scheduled for Thursday, April 6 at 3:30 p.m. In it, Vanlathem will outline how silicone technology is helping battery cells maintain optimal temperature for top performance and power. Specifically, he will highlight how tailored silicones can either insulate or dissipate heat to support the best possible working conditions within new battery designs.
Dow Corning’s booth will also feature, as part of a joint exhibit, a live demonstration of the new DispensingCell system from Scheugenpflug, a leading manufacturer of precision equipment for adhesive bonding, dispensing and potting processes. An entry level solution tailored for thermal management applications, Scheugenpflug’s DispensingCell platform will be in active operation at Stand B124. It can be specially adjusted to dispense approved thermal interface materials from well-established suppliers such as Dow Corning.
Scheduled to run from April 4 to 6 at Messe Sindelfingen, The Battery Show is the leading advanced trade fair and conference for manufacturing solutions along the battery industry’s entire supply chain, including relevant materials, manufacturing, equipment, components, testing and recycling.
Dow Corning experts will be available during the Exhibit to meet with media and answer any questions.
