Showcasing Scientific Knowledge About Energy Now and into the Future

The critical issue of how to power the future of Australia will be discussed in a series of public forums organised by the Whitlam Institute and the College of Health and Science within the University of Western Sydney.

Energy Security: The Real Story will bring together leading Australian and international scientists to showcase the best scientific knowledge about energy now and into the future.

The science behind fossil fuels, nuclear and renewable energy will be discussed, as well as how to use this information to make good policy decisions in the years to come.

The monthly forums, the next being 19 June and continue until September, will include speakers from UWS, the CSIRO, the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Centre in the USA.

This topical, educational series is for policy makers, government departments and agencies, civic groups and non-government organisations, researchers, universities, schools and other members of the community - particularly those in Greater Western Sydney.
