3M Hong Kong has been actively participating in various green programs. To step up its efforts in protecting the Earth, the "3M(TM) Nomad(TM) Recycling Program" is launched to encourage people to preserve natural resources by reusing and recycling used materials. This program is fully supported by Friends of the Earth (HK), one of the most prominent green groups in Hong Kong.
"3M(TM) Nomad(TM) Recycling Program" has two parts:
Commercial customers who buy 3M(TM) Nomad(TM) Matting Systems from 3M or its appointed distributors can register online as members of the "Nomad Club". For every 20,000 points they earn, members can order one take-back service of their used 3M(TM) Nomad(TM) Matting Systems FOR FREE. From now on until 30th September 2008, newly registered members will receive a FREE gift and an EXTRA 8,888 points. Within the promotion period, those enrolled for the FREE collection of used matting systems can also receive HK$100 Cash Dollars from 3M eShop. Individual customers can hand in their used 3M(TM) Nomad(TM) Floor Mats to 3M's recycling stations* in Hong Kong and Kowloon. Please browse over http://www.3M.com/hk/Home for details .
3M Hong Kong has been taking part in a wide range of environmental protection programs. For instance, messages on energy-saving and preservation of natural resources are printed on 3M's recycling bins installed in the public area of MTR stations. In addition, 3M Hong Kong has been working with Friends of the Earth (HK) to promote the "Power Smart" Energy Saving Campaign.
Moreover, 3M Hong Kong is a green corporation that reaches international standards. It was awarded the ISO14000 certification in 2006 for its compliance with the requirements on environmental management system, use of resources, and pollution prevention.
