Green Hydrogen Systems (GHS), a leading provider of efficient electrolysers used in on-site production of hydrogen based on renewable energy, has completed its new modern production facility near Kolding, in Denmark. The first phase of the combined manufacturing, R&D, and office facility measures 4,500 square meters.
The recent investments from A.P. Moller Holding, Nordic Alpha Partners, and Norlys Holding ensure that the company is ready to scale its production capacity even further to meet the steep growth in demand that the market and Green Hydrogen Systems are continuously experiencing.
‘’Scalability was one of the most important factors in choosing the location and design for the new facilities. Once completed, our new facility will become one of the biggest electrolysis factories in Europe. Allowing us to significantly ramp up the production of our pressurized alkaline electrolysis platforms to accommodate the increasing demand for green hydrogen from the market and our customers.’’ says Green Hydrogen Systems CEO Sebastian Koks Andreassen
The new 150 MW capacity factory is armored with the newest equipment and technology to fully optimise the manufacturing process. Our advanced testing facilities allow for full-scale tests of electrolysers and containers in order to ensure the highest quality and safety. In subsequent planned phases, the facility can be scaled to 30,000 square meters – enough space to manufacture electrolysers with 1,000 MW capacity a year – as demand for Green Hydrogen Systems electrolysers continues to grow.
In the upcoming months, Green Hydrogen Systems will ramp up the production of its HyProvide A-series electrolyser for amongst others Ørsted for the H2RES project, for which Ørsted in January elected GHS as electrolysis partner.
