Researchers from LITE-ON Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore), are uniting to come up with advanced solutions for highly efficient energy management for homes and the power grid.

The technology enterprise, LITE-ON Singapore will be connecting with the Energy Research Institute at NTU Singapore (ERI@N) to tackle industry demands for advanced technologies that could help to save energy and costs; enhance the flexibility, efficiency and strength of power grids; and decrease the carbon footprint of Singapore.

Such digital solutions consist of new smart grid physical systems, an intelligent energy router for power grid support, a smart home energy management platform as well as a Data Fusion Software Platform integrating artificial intelligence and big data for use in power grids and smart home applications.

The two parties have connected a four-year agreement to seal the collaboration, which is in accordance with LITE-ON’s global strategy to invest and offer new value to its business partners in the rising industry megatrends: Cloud Computing, Optoelectronics, 5G and AIoT, EV Charging and Smart Grid technologies.
