Clean energy pioneer, Katrick Technologies will be exhibiting at All-Energy at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Glasgow on 11 and 12 May, 2022. The event will bring together providers of renewable tech, policy makers, investors and professionals from the energy sector. Katrick Technologies will be displaying their net-zero passive cooling system and power generating wind panels at the event. Karthik Velayutham, Katrick Technologies co-CEO and founder will also be presenting at Dcarbonise exhibition and conference, co-located with All-Energy.
Since its launch in 2001, All-Energy has provided a space for renewable innovators and investors to create lasting business connections, to inspire and to educate. The event takes place in Glasgow, the site of United Nations’ COP26 in November 2021, and the city in which Katrick Technologies is based.
Katrick Technologies will be located at stand H21 at the show, displaying its innovative zero-carbon energy conversion technologies. Attendees will see Katrick Technologies’ ground-breaking wind panels, which can capture wind in all environments including low level spaces. The panels, which can produce 22000 kilowatt hours of electricity per 10 kW rated panel array annually, can exploit a wider range of winds than traditional turbines and present an exciting development in wind power, either as standalone arrays or complimentary to existing sites such as wind farms.
Visitors to the stand will also be able to see an example of the thermal vibration bell (TVB) — a key element of Katrick Technologies passive cooling system for data centres. The system captures waste heat produced during the day-to-day operations of the data centre, and using environmentally friendly bi-fluids, produces vibrations which power oscillating fins to cool the ambient environment. In a trial with UK data centre iomart, the system was found to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions from cooling by up to 70 per cent.
During the exhibition, Velayutham will speak at the Dcarbonise conference on 12 May in the Determining the mix - and getting finance session between 11:00 and 12:30, located in the Gala event space. The presentation, entitled Disrupting data centres: Converting from energy gremlins to an efficient environmental future, will discuss the impacts associated with data centre cooling and how radical new systems can offer an environmentally friendly alternative. By examining the results of Katrick Technologies’ cooling system installation, the presentation will explore the potential future of the data centre cooling industry and how new technologies will be key in making it more sustainable.
“Attending All-Energy and Dcarbonise is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other key businesses and organisations in the renewables sector and to share our innovations with the community,” said Velayutham. “In the wake of COP26, generating awareness and building new business relationships in net-zero technology is more important than ever and these events are an ideal platform to support key developments on the journey to net-zero”.
