New Board Members to Shape the Future of Scotland’s Renewable Energy Industry

Scottish Renewables, the industry body for renewable energy in Scotland, has newly elected three Directors to its Board.

The newly appointed Directors will help guide the organisation as it works to grow Scotland’s renewable energy sector and sustain its position at the forefront of the global clean energy industry while helping to manage a just transition to a net-zero energy system.

Elected from a pool of 14 candidates from among Scottish Renewables’ 330 member companies, the trio will serve a three-year term.

They are:

  • Kate Turner, Director of ScottishPower Renewables’ Policy and Regulatory Team. Kate has responsibility for onshore and offshore renewables projects, covering government energy policy, grid, planning, consenting and aviation matters.
  • Iain Sinclair, Executive Director at Global Energy Group. Iain has over 20 years’ experience in renewable energy and is passionate about supply chain innovation. He has worked across heavy engineering, manufacturing, and logistics, delivering integrated solutions to the UK’s most challenging offshore wind and marine energy projects.
  • Susie Lind, Managing Director of the BlueFloat Energy | Renantis Partnership. Susie joins the Board of Scottish Renewables for a second stint following her time as a Director from 2019-2022 while Legal Affairs Director at EDF (UK).

Adam Morrison, Chair of Scottish Renewables, said: “The Board of Scottish Renewables is elected by our 330 member companies, who have once again taken the opportunity to shape the leadership of Scotland’s renewable energy industry.

“The role of our Board members is to promote the long-term sustainable success of Scottish Renewables and the significant experiences that Susie, Kate and Iain have across different technologies and policy areas will be invaluable to us as renewable energy continues to play a vital role in Scotland’s economy.

“This year is a crucial one for our industry and I look forward to working closely with all our Board members as we work towards reaching our net-zero ambitions.”
