Kyocera UK, a leader in document solutions, has expanded its printer portfolio with four new printers from its ECOSYS range: the PA4500x, PA5000x, PA5500x & PA6000x. The PA6000x series are Kyocera’s first printers to be supplied carbon-neutral as standard and follows on from the company launching its Carbon-Neutral Printers & MFPs and Carbon-Neutral Managed Print Services late last year.
The updated range of printers incorporate a variety of new features, including a new controller to improve performance and enhanced security capabilities such as SIEM threat detection, auto certificate management and trusted platform module authentication procedures. These are on par with Kyocera’s high-end TASKalfa 3554ci series, which was awarded the BLI Security Validation seal for Device Penetration from Keypoint Intelligence.
From a sustainability perspective, Kyocera will offset the carbon of every device sold in the PA6000x series plus the consumables they use over the printer’s standard-rated lifetime. This covers all elements of production, packaging and transportation and is achieved through Kyocera’s partnership with MyClimate, a leading provider of carbon offsetting consulting. Kyocera close the loop with their eco-conscious toner and device recycling programmes and customers can register for a carbon-neutral certificate to demonstrate their investment and commitment to sustainability.
Martin Fairman, Group Sales & Marketing Director at Kyocera UK, said: “We pride ourselves on providing products for the most demanding users looking for great value printers with high print speeds, low running costs and unrivalled reliability. At the same time, we’re passionate about making sure our practices are sustainable. The launch of the ECOSYS PA6000x series proves that we’re able to deliver both.”
The PA6000x series targets busy workgroups providing dependable features, including 1200dpi quality, duplex printing, a standard 500 sheet paper tray and a total paper input capacity that can be expandable up to 2,600 sheets from 6 paper sources. Print speeds range from 45 to 60 pages per minute.
The new range is a part of Kyocera’s ECOSYS series standing for Ecology, Economy, Systems. The products are energy efficient and include long-life ceramic drums which are reliable and durable to deliver a low Total Cost of Ownwership (TCO) and use as little as 0.5W of power in Sleep Mode.
Other new features include a choice of wireless interfaces and mobile print options providing flexibility for customers to choose Wi-Fi printing capabilities to suit their office or agile printing needs.
Fairman concluded: “We believe the new ECOSYS PA6000x series printers will satisfy the print needs of the busiest organisations, all with the assurance that environmental concerns have been taken into account during the manufacturing and delivery process into the UK. We’re looking forward to helping our channel partners and end users make fully carbon-neutral printing a reality in 2023 and beyond.”
