BeeHero, the pioneer of data-driven precision pollination, announced today that it came in first place at the 2024 Founders Games annual competition held in Davos, and won $300,000 in prize money provided by Webit Investment Network. BeeHero was selected from over 3,000 applicants as one of the most successful and impactful growth companies generating social and environmental impact.
The Founders Games mission is to identify, endorse, and support the high-growth companies and their founders who are leading the way to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by creating successful, scalable, sustainable, and resilient business ventures. The finalists are selected by a collective of over 250 late-stage venture capital investors who reviewed the thousands of applications from more than 140 countries across the globe.
“Winning the 2024 Founders Games is a great honor for BeeHero. The World Economic Forum in Davos is one of the best stages for showcasing remarkable companies tackling critical global challenges, and we want to thank the hosts of the Founders Games and Webit for setting up such a wonderful event that served as a crucial meeting point for world leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs, all committed to forging a better future,” said Omer Davidi, CEO and Co-Founder of BeeHero. “BeeHero’s first place win reinforces the idea that achieving business success and creating a positive impact can effectively go hand-in-hand, marking a significant milestone in our journey to build a sustainable company that is both viable and impactful.”
BeeHero utilizes low-cost IoT sensors to effectively measure and manage bee pollination activity and strength in hives and in the field. The data collected by the sensors is analyzed by the company’s proprietary AI algorithms, generating insights for beekeepers and growers that support real-time decisions to ensure healthier bee colonies, successful pollination, and increased crop yield. In doing so, BeeHero is also enabling industry stakeholders to support biodiversity and sustainable agricultural practices.
In 2023, BeeHero managed over 200K hives, with its sensors collecting over 10M hive samples daily. The company was recognized by CNBC on its 2023 Disruptor 50 list and released its Pollination Insight Platform in-field sensing solution to measure pollinator activity and improve yields in seed, row, and specialty crops. In 2024, BeeHero was listed on the Cleantech Group’s Global Cleantech 100 recognizing the top companies making significant contributions to sustainable innovation.
