A nanomaterials stewardship workshop focused on new nanoscale materials regulations, risk management and data collection will be one of several one-day seminars taking place at the 5 th Annual International Congress of Nano Bio Clean Tech, October 27-30, at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Hotel.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency recently launched its Nanoscale Materials Stewardship Program to help provide a firmer scientific foundation for regulatory decision by encouraging voluntary submission and development of information for nanoscale materials. The stewardship program encourages participants, including manufacturers, to develop and report data on nanomaterials .
Guest speakers for the October 27 workshop include Jim Alwood , Program Manager, Chemical Control Division of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and Jeff Wong, Chief Scientist, Department of Toxic Control Substances, California Environmental Protection Agency.
