Greenberg Traurig Planner Designated as LEED Accredited Professional by USGBC

Joshua A. Nichols, a land use planner with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., has been designated as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP) by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The LEED® Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.

As a LEED AP, Nichols is able to advise clients on the rapidly emerging incentive-based and mandatory regulatory requirements pertaining to green building and assist in evaluating and navigating the LEED certification process. Greenberg Traurig has 11 LEED AP professionals.

Nichols is a member of the firm’s Environmental and Land Development Practice Group and based in the Fort Lauderdale office. He focuses on comprehensive planning, developments of regional impact, zoning, site plan approvals, water management district permitting, and land use support for real estate transactions. Nichols is not licensed to practice law.
