Gulf Alternative Energy Turns Non-Food Plant Matter Into Bio Fuel

Transforming cellulose to ethanol efficiently is a technical challenge that will transform the biofuels industry.

Gulf Alternative Energy Corporation believes it has moved the industry much closer to economic viability with its preprocessing technology that turns non-food plant material (called biomass) into extremely small particles that can more quickly and more cheaply be turned into ethanol.

The company has spent the last year developing its technology. The next step will be to engage partners in the cellulosic ethanol space to test the technology in commercial operation. Once this step has been completed, the company expects to market its technology to all cellulosic ethanol producers.
