Arizona American Water recognized the Town of Paradise Valley today for efforts to raise awareness of the need to protect our water resources here in the desert.
"We are proud to recognize Mayor Vernon Parker and the council for issuing a proclamation to improve and raise awareness on conservation efforts to the town," stated Arizona American Water President Paul Townsley. "If each one of us becomes 'water-wise' and pays more attention to how our actions impact the environment and watershed, we can help preserve our most precious resource for future generations."
The proclamation was signed by Mayor Vernon Parker and will be read tomorrow during the Paradise Valley Town Council Meeting. On Wednesday, May 20th, 2009, the Town of Paradise Valley will host a water awareness event for residents to learn about water conservation tips and techniques from Arizona American Water and the City of Phoenix.
