Courses in Sustainable Design for Buildings Introduced by PPG

PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) introduced three new American Institute of Architects' Continuing Education Services (AIA/CES) courses, including two that fulfill the AIA's new sustainable design (SD) requirement.

Paint Specifications and the Effects on Green Building and Energy Efficient Glazing - are designated sustainable design (SD) learning units. Both also earn Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) credit. A third new course, Specifying Glass, also is an HSW learning unit.

With these additions, PPG now offers classroom instruction for 17 AIA/CES-approved courses specific to PPG glass, coatings and paint products. PPG also has eight courses approved by AIA for distance learning, which allows architects to take a class at their computers or to download content as a slide show or printed document. Distance learning courses by PPG, which earn one learning unit credit upon successful completion, are available free at www.ArchitectCES.com
