Waterline Alternative Energies offers a range of wind power systems including the Jacobs 20kW wind system from Wind Turbine Industries. This wind power system is suitable for applications in small commercial, large residential, agricultural and farm uses.
The Jacobs 20kW wind system is suitable for those places where conventional utility power is expensive as well as difficult to obtain. The rotor of the wind power system includes three blades that are made of fiberglass. The blades in the turbine rotor rotate on a horizontal axis, in counter clockwise direction and upwind orientation.
The rotor of the Jacobs 20kW wind power system measures 31 feet in diameter, while its swept area is 754.4 feet. The turbine rotor of the Jacobs 20kW wind system features passive tail vane yaw control. The wind power generator system features a manual disc brake system for service and maintenance
The Jacobs 20kW wind system supplied by Waterline Alternative Energies is equipped with a synchronous three-phase AC 12 lead generator that is brushless. The generator is re-connectable with outboard exciter.
The Jacobs 20kW wind power system features offset hypoid gear drive transmission, with speed ranging from 450 to 1,050rpm. The support tower of the wind system is a free standing lattice type that has three legs. The tower is hot dipped galvanized to provide protection against corrosion. The support tower is available in three height options, such as 80, 100 and 120 feet. As optional features, tilting hinges can also be configured with the support tower.
