Ms. Hillary DeBlois, Senator Feingold's Economic Development Liaison, visited Water Products on 24 November, 2009. Ms. Hillary DeBlois also visited Environmental organizations and business areas of Wisconsin, and she also met representatives from the business firms in Wisconsin.
Changes and improvements in renewing the economy of Wisconsin by introducing efficient energy usage and energy saving methods were highlighted through this tour. This tour also projected the currently available educational opportunities in the field of solar energy development and the currently happening developments in the solar energy business. To enhance the business markets and to create new job opportunities many business firms have decided to avail the energy investments that are considered to be renewable. The American Power Act and the Clean Energy Jobs are at present moving through the Senate.
Steve Ostrenga, CEO of Helios, remarked that the company intends to create new jobs and to source their supply chain with US made components. Ostrenga further stated that Helios is in the process of developing the improved photovoltaic manufacturing solar facility, and insisted that the elected officials must be updated on the active functioning of solar energy companies in Wisconsin.
Representatives from other firms located in Wisconsin, who participated in this tour along with Ms. Hillary DeBlois include: Teko Mechanical, Johnson Controls, Hot Water Products, Wisconsin Environment, ReEnergy Works, Convergenge Energy, IIIingworth- Kilgust Corporation, Area Mechanical, and Clean Wisconsin. These firms focus on expanding the solar energy business and increasing their contractors by installing solar energy systems, and this in turn will bring improvements in the solar energy businesses in Wisconsin.
