Mariah Power manufactures the Windspire wind power system that generates about 2,000 kilowatt hours of energy for one year, at 12 miles per hour average wind speed. The wind power generator system offers ultra quiet operation. The economical as well as visually attractive wind power system features a 1.2 kilowatt wind turbine. The sleek wind turbine does not include a propeller. The wind turbine is 4 feet in width and it is mounted at a height of 30 feet.
The Windspire is a complete wind power system incorporating a high efficiency generator, hinged monopole, integrated inverter and a wireless performance monitor. The wireless monitoring software, WindSync, helps to monitor the wind power system in real time. The wind energy generator system features an aircraft aluminum and steel construction, and painted with industrial grade paint that is corrosion resistant.
The wind power system is designed to withstand ice and snow. The Windspire wind power system includes a vertical axis rotor that offers maximum speed of 400rpm. Other features of the wind energy system include instantaneous wind tracking, redundant electronic speed control and custom grid-tie inverter. The cut-in wind speed of the system is 8 miles per hour, while the survival wind speed is 105 miles per hour. The total weight of the wind power system is 624 pounds.
