Recently, Solar Energy Initiatives has signed a Letter of Intent to undertake a $1.7 million turn-key solar project, based on which Solar Energy Initiatives will supply solar power to Gainesville Regional Utilities. Solar Energy Initiatives sell renewable energy technologies such as solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies to the world, thus helps to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels. This turn-key project commences immediately and it is scheduled for completion by January 2010.
Solar Energy Initiatives as the project developer will supply all the solar equipment and other associated products. After the project is completed, Solar Energy Initiatives will sell the generated solar energy to the municipality for 20 years under its Feed-In-Tariff program. Solar Energy Initiatives will collaborate with a funding source and an installation company to execute the project at no cost to the municipality.
David Fann, Chief Executive Officer of Solar Energy Initiatives, said that their model is cost-effective and allows long-term savings. This turn-key project contract is a proof for efficacy of their model. He added that their capability to provide turn-key solutions including finance gives them an edge to execute these projects. The management team is focused on leveraging this capability to increase revenues and earnings from additional projects worth about $100 million that are in pipeline, remarked David Fann. He added that the company will be taking advantage of the completed projects to raise awareness about municipal energy projects in and around North America.
Solar Energy Initiatives is at present executing a grassroot campaign “RENEW THE NATION” to help a portion of US workforce to be redeployed and help everyone to focus on decreasing dependence on fossil fuels with solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies.
