Eco Depot USA offers a solar electric generating station known as the Sol Shed. This self contained solar generating station keeps all the electrical components away from the house. The photovoltaic panels are mounted on the shed roof with the help of adjustable roof mounts. The Sol Shed comprises batteries, inverter, lights and DC exhaust fan. If required, a generator can also be installed inside the solar shed.

The Sol Shed does not need any foundation for installation and is built on treated skids. Hence, this solar electric generating station can be moved anywhere around the house or transported when the residents move away. If needed, this self contained power system can be bolted to the foundation permanently. This solar generating station is completely insulated as it is made of structurally insulated panels. Besides the function of a solar electric power system, the Sol Shed can also be used as a storage space.
The solar panels of the Sol Shed should be placed facing south to provide better efficiency. Eco Depot USA provides this self contained solar power system in three versions - Grid Intertie, Off Grid and Thermal. This solar shed is available in three sizes that include a shed with 6 x 8 foot footprint and 120 square foot roof space, and shed with 8 x 12 foot footprint and 200 square foot roof space. The largest Sol Shed, which can also be used as a workshop, has a 192 square foot footprint.
