China Wind Systems Signs Preliminary Agreement to Supply Electro-Slag Remelted Products

China Wind Systems recently signed a preliminary agreement with Shanghai Jing An Metal Materials to supply 12,000 tons of electro-slag remelted products. China Wind Systems supplies industrial equipment and forged products to wind power and other industries in China.

The completion of China Wind Systems production line of electro-slag remelted (ESR) products will be followed by the delivery of these products to Shanghai Jing An Metal Materials within a period of two-and-a- half years starting from March 2010.

As per the specification of the product material in the purchase order, the current price of the contract’s ESR products ranges between RMB 20,000 and RMB 28,000 per ton. The final price will be fixed based on the prevailing market rates.

A total of 4,000 tons is expected to be delivered by China Wind Systems in the year 2010 though delivery dates are not mentioned in the preliminary agreement.. The company predicts that it will use its entire ESR production capacity for the next 2½ years to supply 12,000 tons of ESR products to Shanghai Jing An Metal Materials.

Mr. Jianhua Wu, CEO and Chairman of China Wind Systems, remarked that the company is very much committed to supply electro-slag remelted products of supreme quality with the intention to enhance the growth of this business in the future. Wu also stated that the company’s strategic decision to enter into the ESR product segment has been certified by this first order from Shanghai Jing An Metal Materials.
