Definite Agreement for Texas Wind Farm Project Signed by Cielo Wind Power, US Renewable Energy Group and Shenyang Power Group

A-Power Energy Generation Systems, a wind turbine manufacturer and supplier of distributed power generation systems,  announced that a definite agreement for the ownership of a project company was signed by Shenyang Power Group along with affiliates of US Renewable Energy Group (US-REG), and  Cielo Wind Power (Cielo Wind).

The signing for this project took place in Washington DC. Through this project these companies intend to develop a 600 megawatt wind farm in Texas. A-Power Energy Generation Systems is a leading supplier of distributed power generation systems in China, through its subsidiaries in China. The company is also a shareholder of SPG.

Wind turbines for this project will be supplied by A-Power Energy Generation Systems.  Cielo Wind Power and US Renewable Energy Group through this project are expecting to develop the largest wind farms in the US. The signing of the framework agreement for this project took place on 29 October, 2009. This framework agreement was part of the joint venture established between SPG, Cielo Wind, and the affiliates of US Renewable Energy Group.
