Fronius International manufactures a range of grid-connected inverters, monitoring and datalogging systems. The grid-connected inverters are utilized to convert solar energy into electricity and then transfer the energy to the utility grid. The Fronius IG Plus grid-connected PV inverter designed by the company is a next generation inverter enhanced with a six circuit string combiner, DC disconnect that can be locked and maximum power harvest.
The Fronius IG Plus 5.0-1 UNI – 7.5-1 UNI is a two-power stage inverter. It is offered in 5kW, 6kW and 7.5kW capacities and this inverter can be programmed to 208V, 240V and 277V. This gird-connected PV inverter is suitable for commercial and residential applications. It is fully covered with aluminum and can withstand harsh environment in indoors as well as in outdoors due to its corrosion protection and UV resistant features. This inverter from Fronius International is a plug in system and it requires no cabling or external DC disconnect.
The power stages and connection area of the inverter are separately installed for safe and easy operation. After fixing the connection area to the wall, the power module is plugged in. The 5.0-1 UNI requires PV power from 4250 to 5750W and its MPPT voltage range is from 230 to 500V. Its maximum input voltage is 600V and the nominal input current and maximum usable input current of the 5.0-1 UNI are 13.8A and 23.4A, respectively. The nominal and maximum output power of this inverter is 5000W.
