Solar EnerTech Receives Safety Class II TUV Certification for its PV Modules

Solar EnerTech Corporation announced that it has received the Safety Class II Certification for its photovoltaic (PV) modules from TUV Rheinland. The TUV certification for the PV modules will enable the company to expand its market for its products, mainly in Europe.

The TUV Rheinland Group was established in 1872 and has its headquarters in Cologne, Germany. The Group’s mission and goal is to attain sustained development of quality and safety to address the challenges that arises from the interaction between technology, man, and the environment. Manufactures, whose products pass the TUV’s quality and safety tests, are issued product certifications. At regular interval, employees from TUV visit manufacturer’s production facilities to ensure that the manufactured products match with the samples that were tested by TUV.

Leo Young, Chief Executive Officer of Solar EnerTech, said the company was delighted to have received the compliance certification from TUV for its PV products. He further commented that the independent validation of their PV modules for safety and quality provides confidence for the company’s present customers as well as potential customers during their purchasing process. The TUV certification will enable the company to expand its European market share, said Leo Young.

Solar EnerTech manufactures photovoltaic solar energy cells and has its corporate office in Menlo Park, California. The company has a state-of-art 63,000 manufacturing facility in China. The company, at present, is capable of manufacturing 50 MW of solar cells from its plant.
