Gleeds, the International Management and Construction Consultancy, are to exhibit at the Ecobuild exhibition in London for the first time, further highlighting their commitment and expertise in the field of sustainability within the built environment.
As a World Class Construction Management Organisation, Gleeds has over 1500 people working in 48 offices all over the world. The issues that are highlighted by the Ecobuild event are in line with the way that the consultancy operates and interacts with its clients, partners and suppliers.
Gleeds received the award for most sustainable exhibition stand at Think 07, a leading sustainability exhibition. At Ecobuild 08, Gleeds will be distributing flyers to advise on Home Information Packs (HIP’s) that have been required for all homes marketed for sale in England and Wales from the 14 December 2007. They are also offering advice on the implementation of Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) as part of The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) requirements. The stand is expected to be visited by architects, developers and environmentalists throughout the exhibition.
Richard Steer, Senior Partner at Gleeds said, “Gleeds’ vision is to create a business that attracts the very best clients, projects and people in the industry and we are delighted to be participating in Ecobuild 08. We are committed to minimising any adverse impact on the environment and have implemented a “Grey to Green” scheme in our offices to encourage staff members to work together and think of ways to reduce, re-use and re-cycle as part of providing a sustainable future for all.”
